Why an online education at Wilmington College?

Afforable:

  • International students who attend WC on our main campus are charged $20,000 per year, after all scholarships are applied
  • Payment plan which spreads payments into 10 equal payments per year.
  • WC will give you credit for courses already passed at the GCE O'level and A'level; this would reduce the overall cost of attendance and potentially reduce the amount of time it would take to complete a degree (usually takes 4 years).

Realistic Enhancement of Travel & Work Opportunities:

2 + 2 Approach

  • Students would do the first two years online and then seek a visa to finalize the final two years on our main campus in Wilmington, Ohio.
  • While we have no influence over the visa process in any country, we believe that consular/visa offices would be very encouraged to see students who have already engaged in 2 years of education now seeking a visa to finalize the final 2 years. During the final two years, students will participate in externships designed to connect classroom education with real world experience.
Between 35% to 65% (depending on region/country) of student visa applications are denied.

Fully Online

  • All degrees offered through the online portal can be completed exclusively online.
  • We will work with in-country employers to secure externship opportunities for our students who choose to or are unable to travel to the US
  • As main campus education is more expensive than online, students who do all 4 years online would save $35,200 over 4 years. This cost savings can be used to seek a Master's Degree overseas.

The WC Experience:

  • Wilmington College is rooted in historic Quaker values, also known as testimonies, which include integrity, service, stewardship, equality, peace and social justice and respect for all persons. These historic testimonies motivate those who learn and work at the College to make positive contributions to their professions and their communities. WC has a long history of advocating for peace and for marginalized people in the US and around the world.
  • Class sizes are small, meaning each student will have plenty of access to their professors and staff. We are a small school and can devote time and resources to each and every one of our students.
  • WC has several alumni from countries around the globe, including Cameroon, Nigeria, Kenya, Sweden, etc.
